Nope — this isn’t therapy. Confidence and SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) coaching is all about helping your child understand who they are, believe in themselves, and build tools to handle real-life challenges like friendship drama, self-doubt, or standing up for what’s right. I’m here to be their guide, cheerleader, and coach — someone who listens without judgment and helps them grow stronger from the inside out.
Not at all. I’ve worked with all kinds of personalities — from quiet observers to big-hearted overthinkers. Every session is paced gently, built around trust, and focused on what your child needs most. Many shy or sensitive kids actually thrive in this space because they feel truly seen and heard — maybe for the first time.
Never. These sessions are about healing, learning, and practicing how to work through tough situations with kindness and courage. I create a safe, neutral space where each child has a voice, and we work together to understand what happened, how everyone feels, and how we can move forward with empathy and accountability. It’s not about who’s right — it’s about how we grow.
Absolutely. While the coaching space is just for your child, I keep parents in the loop with optional check-ins and helpful tips to support what we’re working on at home. I know how much you care — and your support means the world to your child’s progress. Together, we create a circle of safety, strength, and encouragement.
Because I lived it. I remember what it felt like to walk into school and feel invisible… or to hide my smile because I didn’t feel “good enough.” I’ve also seen firsthand, as a teacher and principal, how confidence can change the way a child shows up — not just in the classroom, but in life. I created MindEd to be the kind of support I wish I had, and the kind I know our kids deserve.
I specialize in working with elementary-aged students, especially those in grades 3–6. These are such important years for building confidence, social awareness, and emotional strength before the transition to middle school. If you’re not sure if it’s the right fit, I’m always happy to chat first.
Totally valid concern — and you’re not alone in feeling that way. I work hard to create a welcoming, relaxed vibe in each session, and most kids end up looking forward to our time together (even the ones who start off unsure!). We keep things light, interactive, and personalized — it’s never a lecture or forced conversation.
